Two Acrylic Painting Workshops Taught by Donna Beverly

Learn to master acrylic painting and get both the visual sensitivity of watercolors and the sumptuous richness of oils.  Learn-by-doing in this 4-session workshop held at the Benton County Museum in Philomath.  Only prerequisite is basic drawing.  Teacher-demos and hands-on painting will include techniques of wet-in-wet, drybrush, glazing, transparent washes, luxurious color gradations and more.  We will walk through every step of the painting process including: how to sketch on canvas, which brushes are best for each technique, adding mediums for texture and sealing the paintings with barrier coats and uv varnishes.  Join the fun.  Limit:  10 students.  There are two separate classes:  #1 Friday Workshop, #2 Saturday Workshop.  4 consecutive weeks.  1-4 p.m. Workshops begin: FRIDAY, January 21  or SATURDAY January 22nd.   Cost: $165 (includes some teacher-supplied mediums & materials).
